I'm waiting on a new router from Amazon so I thought I'd put this out there in case anyone is interested. Sometime in the next few days I'll be wrapping up the old wrt54g for good. If anyone wants it to play around with, just let me know. It's been flashed with dd-wrt. Unfortunately it is a hardware version 6 ("neutered router") with limited ram and flash, but it still performs quite well under the circumstances. It's capable of streaming multiple videos simultaneously without any problems, and our house typically has 6-10 wireless devices connected at any given time. The only thing that seems to choke this router is p2p traffic; downloads WILL finish, but all other types of connection get dropped until then. On a side note, I've read that these routers perform really well as a client bridge repeater, though I've never had the need/inclination to try it. If anyone is interested in a free router, just hit me up.

I'll take it if you don't have any one else interested.

It's all yours. I'll email you about pick up as soon as my new router comes in and I'm sure it works. Thanks for your interest. I hated the thought of throwing the old Linksys out.

I actually picked up a SonicWall TZ200 for a good price off eBay ($65.00) the other day.  Works well :)  I mainly got it for a learning unit since we use it's younger brothers, the TZ205 and TZ215 where I work, but it serves well as an isolated (ie not on my main network) WiFi hotspot :)
