Is the project still alive?

I think the project is good and I would like to have used it in an app but I used NodeJS, besides there is very little documentation about the project and for the dates in the repository It looks like if the project were dead. Another question can I execute this in the new ruby versions? 2 and 2.1

It's not dead, but it's also not actively developed... It continues to be used in production by many people, and we're happy to accept any patches + improvements.

Yes it should be good with 2/2.1. If you run into any issues, please open a bug on GH.
