Hello everybody:
I was on the Gold Wave list for over 10 years when it was still going. However the traffic on the list has sort of dried up and quit. Where is everybody? I have Gold Wave 4. 21 and since it does everything I need to do I don’t see a reason to upgrade. I’m having trouble with understanding the numbers in the equalizer as to what they mean. I have a turntable that takes the audio straight from the cartridge and since the recording engineers used something called the RIAA curve where the bass is cut by 20 DB and the treble is boosted by 20 DB my records have too much treble and not enough bass. How can I use the numbers in the equalizer to restore the RIAA curve to normal?
I haven’t been able to find anything in the manual that helps me here. I don’t even try to get into those forums with a screen reader so I will need e-mail contact with someone.
