But I got netflix running on my newly imaged Vero, just last week. So I know it works, just have to figure out which system package is missing. My guess is that this will be solved with a quick, shell session.

you say kodi using using matrix repo on the nexus build. where does the address of the matrix repo reside in kodi as it may be an error as I cannot connect to the kodi repo. Not sure kodi repo was in repo list until I loaded netflix repo.

This is just as I unmderstood it, since I can clearly see addon.signals in matrix, but i got it installed in nexus, by automation. When I installed Netflix, last week, just before the weekend. On my freshly imaged Vero. No issue.

just for info I install netflix a week or 2 ago and basically working but reinstalled due to buffering issues. (worked out today my new pi4 not as sensitive as my pi3 on wifi) Waited to weekend to reinstall. Move pi4 to same room as router to fix wifi and now persistant dependency issues. Was wondering if kodi.addon site down. Note sure what to ping yet.

Only thing I did differently was delete everything relating to osmc from my desktop downloads folder as I had multiple copies of the osmc loader app and I may have kept using old downloaded loaders instead of the 4th and 5th iterations that I had downloaded in recent days. Everything clean worked fine.

I'm a new NetFlix user and I want to watch NetFlix on my 1st generation iPad. THe current NetFlix app available in the App store requires a minimum of IOS 6. The iPAD 1 maxes out at IOS 5.1.1.? Is there any way to obtain an older version of the app that is support in the iPAD 1?

Brilliant. Thank you so much for helping me with this. Like Savagewv, I too searched everywhere, and even contacted Netflix support. You are the only person that has ever been able to answer this question with a valid solution. It's a long way around a simple problem, but it works. Shame on the App Store and many thanks to flambocious!

It is possible, a bit of a hassle, but possible. First, you'll need to download the Netflix app through iTunes on your computer, this will make it show up as "purchased" in your library. After that, open up the App Store on your iPad 1 and go to the 'purchased' tab. When you try to install it this way it will tell you that you need iOS 6 or higher, but will also ask if you would like to download an older version of the app.

I searched many sites and contacted netflix, and almost gave up. This worked flawlessly. (I did however have to upgrade my first gen ipad to iOS 5.1 prior to loading netflix). Other sites and blogs said it wasn't possible. Thanks!!

I've tried this method and I'm still getting the prompt that I need to be on 6.0. I'm clicking on the Netflix icon and it takes me to version 5.0.2 updated Oct 28, 2013. I click on FREE, then Install App, then I get the 6.0 prompt and I don't see anything in the purchased tab. Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks.

Double checked my iPad and it wasn't installed. Just wondering what I'm doing wrong. I have the latest version of iTunes (11.1.3) and I'm trying to get this installed on the iPad first generation. Thanks for any help!

App Store will ask you:"Download an older version of this app. The current version requires iOS 6.0 or later, but you can download the last compatible version.", just click on Download and that's it.

Thank you for you response. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get it to work. Maybe it's just because I tried installing it previously. When I open App Store on my iPad, click on Purchased, then clicking on Netflix, it brings up the page like you would normally see it after searching for it. The "install" button is quickly disabled, I only assume because of the version of IOS I have as it stats it doesn't support 5.1. Any other suggestions? Oh, I also disabled iCloud thinking it kept trying to install that version. Thanks again.

But the second thing I found deeply disconcerting - worse actually - were the not-so veiled digs at Emily Maitlis, the dogged News Night anchor whose persistence and penetrating, unflinching gaze were really what undid the Prince during that interview.

Does this sly condescension to her really add anything to a narrative that fundamentally pertains to be about the nexus of rich and powerful men, like Prince Andrew, who propped up Epstein by affording him either legitimacy, status or money?

?Haven't watched by I trust your reaction... Unfortunately it seems "normal" these days that for one person to be seen as good/competent or worthy, another has to be less so. In real life, two things can be equal but different, but that doesn't translate well to drama (except for All the President's Men authors - Bernstein & Woodward perhaps?)

First, Prince Andrew himself. As played excellently by Rufus Sewell, the movie aptly captures the Prince’s vanity, frustrations and the bubble-wrap of privilege around him, giving rise to that disastrous interview. After which he announced he’d step back from his royal duties.

But let’s not forget that he wasn’t actually stripped of his royal titles and essentially exiled until years later, in 2022, and for something far more serious than pomposity. That’s something that does not get mentioned in Scoop. Namely that Ms. Giuffre sued him for sexual abuse when she was a minor and he settled with her for an undisclosed sum and it was THAT embarrassment, ahead of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, that caused his death-knell.

I’m not surprised that she is producing her own Amazon TV series based on her story, including her recollections of that interview. Which may be different from those in Scoop, which was based on a book by Maitlis’s former booker, Sam McAlister, played by Billie Piper. (Maitlis has said she did not get involved with the Netflix production. Maitlis has also been warm publicly about McAlister and vice versa. Although, in predictable British tabloid fashion, the Daily Mail suggests there is now a tabloid-style feud between the two women.)

Back to Scoop: although the movie’s script – and the actor Gillian Anderson - highlights Maitlis’s tough interviewing style, flawless memory and work ethic, Maitlis is simultaneously portrayed as someone whose social status is above that of most of her newsroom, which, it’s insinuated, is an impediment to morale. Hence there is a disdain with which her team discuss the “North London dinner party” class circuit Maitlis’s interviews appeal to. (As if they’d prefer a different audience…we don’t learn who, exactly.) And the endless shots of Maitlis’s whippet, Moody, who, in the movie, seldom leaves her side in the newsroom (something that did not happen often in reality, reportedly), are blatantly loaded with classist snark. (Who is the other famous English woman who brought her dogs everywhere?)

The movie is based on McAlister’s book, Scoops, about the ongoing battles behind the scenes at the BBC, which she subsequently left, so I understand why her challenges as a working single mother, and her perceptions of institutional elitism inside the organization are a focus.

But I don’t see why one woman’s story should be elevated at the expense of the other’s. In Scoop, in contrast to McAlister being run ragged, Maitlis is portrayed as someone whose only personal obstacle is momentarily losing her whippet in the park.

I read about redirect of port 80 and 443 for incomming connection, but that's not my case. First, i have a webserver running on my home and port 80 and 443 are redirected to this server (internal IP different from Smart TV). Second, I tried to redirect port 80 and 443 to my internal TV address; stil not working.

Before this, I had a simple Wireless router doing routing on my home and everything was working fine, including Netflix. Also, in my smart TV, I CAN access and brownse Netflix. Te problem is when I try to start streaming....they sai that is not possible to play, to check latter. If I switch to my old router (wireless TPLink router), everything start to work.

Why don't you run a wireshark now?

The TV should be able to access the internet like every other host, using Netflix should not need port translations inbound or outbound. The TV will try to connect to one of Netflix's Public IP addresses and will then start a stream on a Port which I believe it 80 or 443.

2) I've conected my old router as a main router and disconnected cisco. Opened TV and Netflix. Start streaming a serie. Stop streaming, but keep netflix opened. Disconnect old router and connect Cisco again, as main router (keeping both same IP, but only one 'on' at same time). Start streaming and works.

So, looks like my TV isn't reaching DNS for streaming netflix.....also, when I open "Samsung Apps", I can't see icons.....everything works, except load of 'icon' for applications. In the old router, this doesn't ocour, all is fine. I alread tried to change DNS on my TV to: my cisco router (has DNS server relay configured); my local DNS server; my ISP DNS server; google DNS server (8.8.8.8); In all cases, TV Network status report that everything is ok and TV CAN reach internet, but still the same problem with Samsung Apps and Netflix streaming. The strange thing is that netflix open, get titles, my account info, etc etc......just streaming doesn't work!
