Howdy everyone,

I just wanted to pass on this very nice email that we got from BB
Wolfe, a good friend of the band and fellow musician. I also wanted
to say once again how much we appreciate all of the support that
everyone has given us over the years. This coming weekend will be
sort of the last big hurrah for the band at two of our very favorite
venues. We will be at Fiddler's Hearth on Friday and most importantly
at LVD's on Saturday night. This will be recorded with an eye, or
rather an ear, toward putting out a live Goldmine Pickers CD in the
near future. So if you want to be a part of the crowd that night,
please come on out and give it a big 'ol yahoo!!! Please pass this on
to as many people as you can and help us make it a night to remember.

Though I knew this was coming now for a month or more, I in some ways
selfishly hoped it wouldn't. But life is in constant flux as we know
and nothing stays the same now or forever. I can't tell you the number
of times I would slip into a show or drive on a busy day just to see
the Goldmine Pickers play a few numbers and slip out to some
responsibility of mine. I loved to listen to these young musicians not
only for their musicianship but because of the kind of people they
are. Good folks that are fun to be around.

I feel very grateful to have had the Goldmine Pickers contribute to my
own musical efforts and leanings. My only regret is that I wish I
would have learned to tap my toe sooner and not hum during the breaks.

To Jay Lapp, Lukas Simpson, Sean Hoffman and Brian Cook. I wish you
all the very best during this transition and know that all of you will
come out on top. I am very grateful and thankful to all of you. The
Goldmine Pickers hold a very special place in my heart.
