Hello,
I use the goldfish autoresponder script on a debian lenny (postfix -
Workaround HowTo) system.
Sometimes, wenn a user has activate his autoresponder and a new
message arrives, the following problem happens:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the mail system at host mail.lenny.local
I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below.
For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster.
If you do so, please include this problem report. You can
delete your own text from the attached returned message.
The mail system
<"rom:root"@
remotesystem.xyz>: host remotesystem.xzy[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]
said: 550
5.1.1 <
rom:ro...@remotesystem.xyz>: Recipient address rejected:
User unknown
in local recipient table (in reply to RCPT TO command)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The incomming message was sent from "
ro...@remotesystem.xyz".
Why das the script include the "from" into the mail address and cuts
off the "f"?
On other addresses it cuts off the first and the last letter from the
email address.
I have no idea why this happens (???)
Thank you for every advise.
Matthias
