Hey Jamie,

 

Here's JJ born 7-29-08 to Shasha (standard golden-doodle) and Crimson (minature apricot poodle).

 

JJ is 6 months old Thursday and weighs 28 lbs.  He, too, is a little goofy but so very much fun!  My son calls him a "doofus."  He's very intelligent just a bit of a clown (the places he gets, the positions he reclines in, the way he runs, how he plays with his toys, and best of all the way he talks to us).  We laugh a lot!  But he has also learned sit, stay, come, down, and best for us "no face."  (Meaning don't put your nose in my mouth!)

 

He had his first grooming last week - puppy cut at PetSmart - and it turned out well.  Not too short and easier now to prevent him from dragging in every leaf and twig he comes by in the back yard.  He are some recent photos.

 

JJ doesn't use a crate (we have a nice fenced in back yard and an empty playroom for cold or wet days).  He eats Science Diet Small Bits for Puppies.  He's potty trained (barks to go outside) and paper trained for when he's too long in the playroom while we work - but this is getting less usage of late. 

 

You're going to love the doodle.  I was raised with dashounds and the dood will love yours.  JJ is NOT an alpha dog and makes friends easily by lying on his back and doing whatever the other dog wants him to do.
