CHANGES AT GOLDENS-N-DOODLES
As most of you know, I was married last May and moved to Brentwood,
Tennessee (about 45 minutes north of my house in Lewisburg). Because
I could not take all my dogs with me when I moved, we retained my
house in Lewisburg and our friend and frequent puppy helper, Kathy,
and her family moved into the house and became our dogs’ caretakers.
This has been a great collaboration and many of you have benefitted
from Kathy’s help and loving treatment of our dogs and your puppies.
The time has come for us to downsize so that Kathy and her family can
focus on other interests, and so that we (Michael and I) may
concentrate on developing a line of parti-factored (multi-colored/
multi-marked) mini goldendoodles. Space constraints and zoning in my
new home will not allow more than a few dogs, and my aging back has
rebelled at so many litters of the larger pups.
If you have visited our website lately, you may notice that some of
our dogs have been retired or removed from our breeding program. This
is not a reflection on the dogs (who may be the parents of your
babies). It was not my desire that my dogs would end up in someone
else’s breeding program, so several of our girls and boys have been
spayed or neutered and placed into great homes as forever pets – and
are loving their newfound roles of kids’ companions and best friends
(and constant car riders and receivers of scraps under the table).
We will still breed our wonderful, red and apricot standards from Tula
and Chloe and Cherokee and they will be homed with Kathy in Lewisburg
with my oversight. These gentle-natured standards are also used in
our service dog program and are in demand as service dogs-in-training
for children with autism and angelman syndrome.
Our standard poodles, Simone, Monique and Giselle, will reside with us
Brentwood, along with one or two mini doodle females that will be
joining us as soon as Delta’s mini doodles are born in April 2009. We
are considering having a few guardian homes within our immediate
vicinity. If you would be interested in more information about our
newly-planned-but-nondefinitive-as-yet guardian home program, please
let me know.
DOODLES OWNERS’ GROUP
We will be moving this doodle owners group from google (http://
groups.google.com/group/goldens-n-doodles) to www.DoodleKisses.com
Some of our doodle families are already on DoodleKisses and enjoy what
it has to offer. In addition to the Goldens-n-Doodles of Tennessee
owners group that I have formed (and will be editing, updating,
copying over from google, etc. for some time to come!), there are
presently over 3,500 members who are all doodle lovers, over 35,000
photos, at least 168 doodle groups (owners’ groups, black doods, red
doodles, under 2yr old doods, grooming for doods, owners of two or
more doods, etc. etc. etc.), blogs, discussion boards, gifts, and
more. It’s a great site and I think you will enjoy it. A flyer about
DoodleKisses is attached. If you don’t see your pup’s litter listed
under the Goldens-n-Doodles of Tennessee group, please let me know and
I’ll add it immediately. I have been adding the litters and updating
the group but it will be a while before I am finished with it.
To join, go to www.DoodleKisses.com and sign up. To join the Goldens-
n-Doodles owners’ group, go to “Groups”, search for Goldens-n-Doodles,
then “join group”. Each of our litters will have its own discussion
thread, so you will search for your litters’ heading and post
information and photos there. Of course, you are welcome to post
under General, and there will be a romp heading, as well. You can add
different threads if you wish to, such as “doodles in the snow”,
“doodles in the water”, etc. if you want to show off your doods doing
different stuff!
NUVET SUPPLEMENT
I wanted to make sure that you all received this update on the REBATE
OFFER for NuVet for our doodle families effective 1-1-09.
I’ve attached a flyer about NuVet.

For those of you who are using or have used NuVet, thanks for getting
NuVet for your doodle - it's a great product and all our dogs and pups
receive it. It is also an expensive product and I want to be sure
that all our dogs get to continue receiving it. The company offers
breeders, groomers, etc. a "bonus" every time someone orders under our
Order Number - basically, a commission - and it's nearly 50% (I am
charged some fees). I have no desire to make money off my doodle
families or our babies' health. We buy in quantity and are able to
order NuVet at 50% off (plus regular shipping) and I have tried to get
NuVet to allow our doodle families to receive it at our price but they
will not let me do that. Therefore, as of 1-1-09, when I receive
checks from NuVet, I will send a rebate to each person whose order
appears under each check break-down. It won't be quite 50% because
NuVet takes some fees out of my “commission,” and I have to cover
postage and I have to claim the money on our income tax. If you
haven't been ordering NuVet, this would be a great time to get
started. You will get a wonderful, human grade product that will help
your pet's immune system and overall health and longevity. I've seen
it work personally on my 2-1/2 pound Chihuahua who could no longer go
up and down the front steps - within 30 days, she was running up and
down them.
