This week we'll be doing laps around Golden Gate Park!
We'll meet at Kezar and run up Stanyan to Fulton St, take a left and run down Fulton to Ocean Beach, run back across to the south side of the park, and back up Lincoln Way to Kezar for 1 rep. Each rep will be about 7.3 miles and ~400 ft of elevation, at around 10k pace. I recommend at least 2 repeats, but if you want to push yourself you can try for 3.
Our cooldown will be 3 sets of strides & stairs at an easy pace back at the track!
For such a strenuous workout, it's important to keep a couple things in mind:
Our (real) workout this week is our 300-meter repeats:
We'll run the track for a speedy 300-meter (3/4 of a lap) run, catch our breath for the remaining 100 meters (walk or slow jog), and then repeat the fun all over again.
Post Workout:
Let’s go to Red Tail (545 Irving Street, between 6th and 7th Ave). Like the other places, they let you bring food as well. So join us for food and drinks too!
