Announcements   Bishop High Sierra Ultramarathons     The Bishop High Sierra Ultra Marathons 100K, 50 Mile, 50K and 20 Mile is now open for registration!  These are high altitude races, with lots of climbing, in the scenic foothills of the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Much of the 100k and 50-mile courses are above 7500′ in altitude (capping out right around 9000').  These runs are the perfect training opportunity for that upcoming mountain trail 100 mile event...     New Year's Resolutions   ITR wants to help you keep those New Year's running resolutions.   If you register for any Inside Trail event before the end of the year (11:59 PM PDT on December 31, 2013) using coupon code 2014ISHERE you will receive a 10% discount on your event entry fees.  The coupon will work for any, currently open for registration, Inside Trail Racing event in 2014.     2014 Event Calendar   ITR's calendar for 2014 is now available...  We will have a few new events added in the second half of the year shortly, as well.  In 2014, we'll be hitting some old favorites in addition to a few great, new parks.  Registration for each event will be available once we receive confirmation from the parks (all events through the end of July are open).  Make sure to check out our new Ordnance 100K on Saturday, February 1 at Fort Ord National Monument in Monterey, CA.  Check out the 2014 calendar here     Volunteers Needed!   The first 3 months of our 2014 calendar is chock full of exciting events, such as the Ordnance 100K and Marin Ultra Challenge.  These events require a ton of planning, but also a huge number of volunteers to pull off.  We always raffle off a prize from one of our sponsors to the volunteer pool at each of our events, but for the Ordnance 100K and Marin Ultra Challenge we will be sweetening the pot with a Year of Free Racing.  One lucky volunteer will get a free entry to each ITR event in 2014 that they can do with as they please (use for themselves, give to a friend/family member, etc...).  If you're able to help out please sign up via our online form.  Volunteer Signup Form   Upcoming events from ITR       Pacifica Foothills Trail Run 50K, Marathon, 30K, Half Marathon, 10K January 18, 2014 San Pedro Valley Park Pacifica, CA       Ordnance 100K February 1, 2014 Fort Ord National Monument Salinas, CA   Fort Ord Trail Run 50K, 35K, Half Marathon, 10K Fort Ord National Monument Salinas, CA       Chabot Trail Run 50K, 30K, Half Marathon, 10K Lake Chabot & Anthony Chabot Regional Park Castro Valley, CA       Marin Ultra Challenge 50 Mile, 50K, 35K, Half Marathon Marin Headlands & Mt. Yes!  Typically my first race of the year and it's awesome!  We used to call this the Denny's run since we always followed up this race with a ceremoniously huge caloric intake down the street from the finish line...need to re-institute that tradition again this year.  I'm in for the half marathon, but there is also an awesome 9K for those of you wanting to tread into the trail racing waters for the first time in 2014.  And, of course, the 30K and 50K for the veterans.

Let's get the racing year off to a great start!
