Hi All!

It's that time of year again where we will be volunteering at the San Francisco Marathon! The race this year is Sunday July 24th and we will again be covering station 12 for the full (6 for the half), located at Guerrero & 14th/Rosa Parks Lane.

I need folks to sign up on the SF Marathon Volunteer Spreadsheet and let me know shirt sizes by July 14th as I need to get the head count to the organizers in advance.  I will then be attending a captains meeting and providing more instructions at the end of next week. The details we do have as of now are as follows:

- This is a fun event where we get to support the running community, party in the street a bit (costumes and speakers encouraged!), and get free lunch (burritos in the mission) paid for by GGRC :)
- Setup begins at 06:00am
- We will be done with the aid station by 12:15pm
- More info about the race and the course can be found here: SF Marathon

Hey GGRC,

I just wanted to give a special plug for signing up for the SF marathon volunteering. I did it last year and it was such a blast. An early morning yes, but all the runners appreciate our energy and enthusiasm at mile 22. Add your name to the spreadsheet Jakob shared and come join us! No need to stay the full time, but we will be buying all of our volunteers lunch after!

Best,

Hello again all,

Final reminder to please sign up for the SF Marathon Volunteer crew.  We need folks to both provide their shirt sizes in my spreadsheet (attached) as well as fill out the waiver provided by the race coordinators - FILL OUT THIS WAIVER!  These two items need to be completed by the end of day tomorrow (7/14) per the request of the organizers.  After doing so, all you need to do is show up for the event - I will pick up shirts for everyone.  Also attached are all the logistics information provided by the organizers, which includes a map of our aid station setup and parking pass you can print off for your car if you drive to the aid station.

Please let me know if you have any further questions about the event, looking forward to having fun at this one with y'all!

Jakob
