Planting dates - Generally Mother's day weekend is after the last frost, though some say as late as mid May. We'll want to ask that you please have plants in the ground the beginning of June, or let us know if that won't work. (This is in the gardener's responsibilities and important to ensure plots don't lie fallow, when people are on the waiting list.)

Plot map and other resources - http://www.goldencommunitygarden.org/resources.html We're trying to make it easy to find useful information. Let us know if you have any suggestions for what to add here or to the FAQ.

Soil Amendments

  • This year everyone can take 7.5 gallons of compost (1/2 cu ft) and 3 wheelbarrow loads of topsoil (18 cu ft) per 100 sq ft. (to help elevate plants)
  • We hope to have more top soil this weekend, but it might not be until the following weekend. We appreciate your patience.

Time Tracking - Please be sure to track your garden contribution time on-line: http://www.goldencommunitygarden.org/hours.html (And remember, it's your responsibility to keep track.) We'll try to let you know what we have for you in the middle of the season, or you can ask anytime.

Perennials - Thanks to those adopting perennials. If you've been taking care of one of the perennial beds and haven't been contacted by Suzanne regarding this please let us know.

Updated Membership list - There are a few changes from last week.
