This is our project for the first half of 2006:
One Movie: Stage Fright (Hitchcok, 1950) -- finished
One Paper: a critique on the movie (requirements below) -- due on June
15th
One Book: My Life (Bill Clinton, print and audio) -- on-going

Stage
Unit
Shattered
Glass。 Stage
Fright

1、文章长度与形式:500字以上,英文,书面(手写或打印),请在首页抬头注明姓名、学号、专业,恕不接受电子邮件投递;
2、递交截止日期及地址:2006年6月15日前,课堂上或信箱(东五一楼大厅外语学院信箱区陈敏);
Jonathan
Unit One,Unit
and truth, fact and

Additional info of "Stage Fright":

Often considered to be one of Alfred Hitchcock's lesser known films,
"Stage Fright" is, actually, a solid, entertaining picture. With an
eclectic cast one doesn't expect to see together, each diverse actor
provides a little something for everyone.

Wyman convincingly plays a drama student Eve Gill who gets involved
over her head in a purely Hitchcockian case of murder. When her
ex-lover Jonathan Cooper is suspected of killing Charlotte Inwood's
husband, Eve hides him and helps him allude the police. Meanwhile, Eve
disguises herself as Charlotte's maid to help find evidence to save
Jonathan's freedom. Eve falls into a dangerous trap, and danger
surrounds her.

Disappointingly underdeveloped as it starts, "Stage Fright" eventually
turns into a first-rate thriller. While Eve has been better, Charlotte
Inwood is hilariously catty and Jonathan is wickedly suspicious. As an
undoubtedly a Hitchcock film all the way around, "Stage Fright" hits
most of the right notes.
