ant+ on 10.15 (catalina) - no ant+ devices not recognized

Hi,

    I am first time user - on my mac (10.15 Catalina), i am not able to pair with my ant+ HRM or ant+ wahoo kickr core trainer.

When i run trainerRoad app on my mac, it is able to pair with my HRM - so i don't think it is the ant+ dongle issue. 

HRM is garmin's RUNHRM (ant+ only).

I tried the latest dev release too - still no luck (v3.6-DEV2005)

I am not sure how to debug this - it is not the case that GC does not detect the ant+dongle.. when i don't have the dongle connected GC asks which COM Port to use..

When i try GC, i have not paired the HRM with trainer road and also trainer road app is NOT running even.

There was another thread about ant+/catalina - in that case the dongle was not detected - this is not my case..

Tried to create and ride a workout today for the first time with GC as well - same issue here. 

Am able to find all active sensors that are also using BT over BT, but none over ANT+ / FE-C.

Specs: 

MacBookPro 2018, connected to a elgato Thunderbolt Dock, from there a USB extension cord, generic ANT+ receiver (not Garmin branded). 

With the exact same setup I am able to connect the ANT+ devices (1st gen Kickr, Tickr, Power2Max powermeter) in Zwift, Sufferfest and Rouvy. 

GC doesn´t find anything unfortunately...

For v3.5 there is an alternative build which solves some USB problems you can try, it is available from: https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/releases/tag/V3.5

Hi,

Did you solve your issues with ANT+ trainining in OS 10.15? I just went back to a MBP running Catalina. It works with a generic USB ANT+ dongle and finds my power meter and other sensors fine. Nonetheless, if I change to a different window app mid-ride (let's say watch Netflix or VLC) it keeps dropping the connection.

Any ideas how and if you solved your problems are appreciated :)
