I had that problem, my "Weight" went missing too, when I searched for "Weight" to rectify the issue. I could not find it amongst the "Metrics".

Eventually I found it under "Metrics" as "Athletes Weight" and it now works again

I don't know what happened to cause the issue?

Weight is a Data Field in activities while Athlete Weight is a metric which try get data from daily measures (the new preferred method to maintain weight) and fallbacks to Weight field otherwise, more details in  https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/wiki/UG_Special-Topics_Weight-settings

Ok... seems to be working now... Thanks for your help!

Had the interval checkbox checked... think this still worked before.... maybe not.. not sure any more. But with Interval unchecked it works.

Also had it in "Workout" tab... but probably belongs in "Metric" tab.. moved it there by changing first value in Screen Tab colum to "Metric" instead of "Workout" and it still works. 

When I added this I  really was not  sure how this worked before.. just tried stuff and it worked.. so never touched again.. but broke at some point... but, Now I think I know how it works again... all good.... lol...

QUESTION: Why is Weight not there as a metric by default.. seems like a pretty basic metric that people would use 🤔

Thank you Nigel... I managed to get it working again... can see my post below it that helps you... I think something did change... see if the interval checkbox is checked for you.. maybe that didn't affect things before.. not sure... I was turning things off and on so don't really remember what is work initially... lol...

I was not part of the project when this decision was taken many many years ago, but the likely reason is Weight was already in use as Data Field.

When entering the weight in the plan>calendar, the trends curves do not take it into account, neither as a measure>body weight, nor as a metric>weight:

I think this is related to the decision to not update metrics when entering measures at the daily view of the calendar, old Metric Trends chart will be updated on the next refresh, the newer User Charts are updated immediately, you can find examples of them in default Measures Trends perspective.
