I'm trying to make a new workout in GC. In this tutorial I saw, how to create repetitions. But the problem is that I do not know, whether there is a specific command for creating a ladder such:

  1. Warm up

    10 min @ 103-129 W
    Zone 1
    1. 1 min @ 142-168 W
      Zone 1-2
    2. 1 min @ 168-194 W
      Zone 2
    3. 1 min @ 194-219 W
      Zone 2-3
    4. 1 min @ 219-245 W
      Zone 3-4
    5. 1 min @ 245-271 W
      Zone 4
    6. 1 min @ 271-297 W
      Zone 4-5
  2. Cool Down

    10 min @ 103-129 W
    Zone 1

If I need a repetition I would simply open the Workout editor and type in the right side of the programm the following:

5x5m@220r2m@140

but is there anything similar for ladders too?

When you say "1 min @ 142-168 W" my feeling is that you mean the wattage to be in a band between 142 and 129W or do you mean the wattage to increase from 142-168W over a 1 min. period.
I.e. this

or this

Sorry,

I mean the first case. In my previous example I put a range, but it should be something like:

  1. Warm up

    10 min @ 110 W
    Zone 1
    1. 1 min @ 145 W
      Zone 1-2
    2. 1 min @ 172 W
      Zone 2
    3. 1 min @ 206 W
      Zone 2-3
    4. 1 min @ 230 W
      Zone 3-4
    5. 1 min @ 260 W
      Zone 4
    6. 1 min @ 288 W
      Zone 4-5
  2. Cool Down

    10 min @ 106 W
    Zone 1

Is there any command to automate this ladder in GC?

Hi Johnny.

Tutorial video you watched shows how to create it directly in Train view. But you can also use "Workout wizard". On menu you can see on wiki is called "Create a new workout".

It's easier for me to create it in the workout wizard, if i need to create a new workout.

Cheers, Mitja

And no, there isn't any automation command. GC doesn't know what workout you have in your mind. So how could GC create it automatically? This is not AI where you say create "this" for me, and it would simply do whatever you say. :)

Hi Johnny.
Can you see the work out editor shown in the video?
I just noticed that it was not present on my macbook and I had to add it (View->add chart while in train view) but that it is present on my Linux install.
I also found that when it is added it is not visible until you scroll down below your normal view during an activity.
