Action to be taken to bring the tiles in the desired order isn’t obvious for me. It looks to be a kind of a chess puzzle.

Simple example to solve in Trends - Perspective:
I created one tile after the other in Trends-Perspective: [r1c1], [r2c1], [r2c2], [r2c3], [r3c1], [r3c2]

At the moment every tile is in column 1 (See attachment "OverviewBike_Initial.gchart").

What are the steps to order the tiles as desired (r1c1 = row 1, column 1)?
[r1c1]
[r2c1], [r2c2], [r2c3]
[r3c1], [r3c2]

I went carefully through the forum e.g. "Arranging Overview Tiles GC V3.6 Dev builds" and I consulted the Wiki UG_ChartTypes_Activities#Overview, but I couldn’t find any helpful instructions to apply.

Environment: Win10 latest updates, GoldenCheetah Release November 29 2021, Build id: 4009

Anyway I appreciate very much the new Perspectives and Tile possibilities to create my own layout in Trends and Activities. Many thanks to the developers involved.

You cannot left r1c2 and r1c3 slots empty unless the first tile spans the 3 columns (hold shift while dragging the right border):

I really need to record a tutorial. I think there are some aspects which are not at all intuitive.

Thank you Ale and Mark for your hint.

Rule: in order to be able re-arrange/re-order tiles, the above row dimension must be equal or greater than the row itself. If this isn’t the case you may extend one or several tiles of the above row (hold shift while dragging the right border).

Applying this rule may lead to a table where some values are no more underneath the other.

New idea: introducing a new tile type in trend view:
This new Tile (name: spacer, comment, ???) may be used instead of extending an existing Tile. It can be extended and placed anywhere it the table as the other tiles. It should be possible but not necessary to insert a Title and/or a Text which is part of the tile. It is similar to the metadata tile with the field name Notes in the Activity View.

This tile type would give more flexibility in designing a table.

 What are your thoughts?

KPI tiles can be used for that purpose, they can display strings so you can put there whatever text you want, even an empty string to leave it blank. Title/Units/Min/Max are optional too.

Many thanks Ale, problem solved. For illustration purpose I made an example.

Trend View: Diagram containing an "empty" KPI tile as discussed above.
This may help to re-arrange/re-order tiles (see e.g. Forum entry from 24.01.2022, 18:05:25
