Im away from my computer and only have an Android tablet with me  on my trip. Just wondering if anyone has tried loading GC on a USB stick and plugging it into an Android tablet with USB togo cable.
Would GC run?

Sadly no. Although now QT supports Android it might be interesting to try and port the basic functionality.

It does not need to be the complete GC. If it were just the train mode, that would be awesome.

I don't know if that makes it easier or harder to port.

Thanks for all your (and the contribs') hard work. GC enticed me to get real PM. You should get a kickback from Cyclops, I think. :)

For me its more of a travelling problem.

Im down in SoCal and putting in a week and ahalf of training. Id like to keep track of my TSS scores and PMC charts to gauge my daily rides. I dont bring laptops anymore due to the capabilities of tablets. I could have also set up a spread sheet before I left and then just plug in my TSS scores from my Garmin.

Just looking for ways to expand the GC capabilities to a more transportable program/platform.

I had a build of GC running on a Raspberry Pi ($35 linux computer) that was plugged into my router at home, and was able to use VNC to 'remote in' to the desktop on it and use Golden Cheetah from my iPad. It was slow, but it worked. With the new Raspberry Pi 2 being a lot more powerful, and still the same price, I just need to get around to doing the same thing and it should be a lot more useable. I built the latest GC on it but it kept crashing on startup and I didn't have time to look into it, probably was something wrong with my setup for the build.

As for a portable train mode, the Raspberry Pi plugged into a TV could give you that as well.

Probably the thing with the most promise is the Intel stick computer.  It's not shipping yet, but should soon.

You still have connectivity issues--bluetooth LE, ANT+ or serial.  And whether or not the display in your hotel has an HDMI input.

What about a Win tablet?
Here's mine, running GC (and it's running fine)

Yes, that may well be the option I have to go with for my next tablet.
Massarob: Nice ASUS tablet by the way.
