Am I missing something or has street view capability been removed from v3.4 ?

Yes it has been removed, it introduced too many problems, but mostly memory leaks.

Thanks, now I know :)

Is there a way to copy the Chart Layout from Trainer view from one user to another ?
Instead of the StreetView I managed to get a nice google map working that locks to the track and follows me around - it is called 'map'
However, if I try and set this up for another login, the map is named 'Route', it has an interval box within it and it doesn't lock with the rider ?
Same workout file and activity ??

Gues it is something simple but copying the layout would be the easy answer...

Thanks

Replying to myself again as I figured it.
Copy train-layout.xml and charts.xml (if you need to) did the trick if anyone else needs to do the same.
Still don't understand how I got the google map up with the little orange guy showing and no interval box in the first place though ?

Sorry this sounds like a dumb question given that you answer the question below but I am a COMPLETE newbie to GC and want to make sure I am not missing something.  I am going to start training for a 70.3 and would like to virtually ride the course.  Is this possible with GC 3.4 (or earlier versions that I can go back to)?  I found a GPX of the course on MapMyRide if that helps my situation.
Thanks!

Hi, yes you can, that is what I was setting it up for. I used google sat map view to see the course rather than street view that I never did get it working properly.
You may have to add elevation data to the map, thats easy, I also added gps points every meter so it runs more fluid - thats easy as well.
You just import the gpx in as an activty and then make a new ride from it.

You say it's easy to add additional GPS points every meter. For a 70.3km distance that's lot of data. May I ask how you did that?

And also how to import the elevation data, where is a good source for the data and how to align it?

Hopefully, there are some links available as I'm guessing it's not just a sentence or two answer :)

For the elevation data, I used this...

As for the interpolation of GPS coordinates, I used GPSBabel - see the instrucion here:

Both are free software

The file will only be a few mb, its only a text file after all.
You need to run it in a cmd box and use something like this for every meter - takes just few secs
gpsbabel -i gpx -f track.gpx -x interpolate,distance=0.001k -o gpx -F newtrack.gpx

Thanks for responding but I think this is all over my head.  I was hoping that I could just download a GPX of KML from MapMyRide that contains the elevation and gps coordinates already in it like this one...http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/345474483
Then import it into GC and some magic would happen (I know, but here is hoping) that would show the corresponding google street view to the map I imported.
Thanks again

Have you tried?
Looks like that map already has the elevation data....

Adam
I have not tried but I will give it a shot.  My concern is that you say my map already has elevation so I assume I can skip the elevation step/software?  As for the gps portion, I am guessing that I have to do this because the recorded GPS points in my map are spaced to far apart?  I haven't read through tall the GPSBabel documentation (I will later) but if I understand it correctly I just download the program, set my input file (track.gpx) and my output file (newtrack.gpx) and then open a command line and run the above code.  Am I atleast on the correct path?  I assume my track.gpx has to be located in the same directory as GPSBabel correct?  Am I missing anything big here?
Thanks again for holding my hand through the process.  I will be more than happy to share my completed file if I can get it working.

Hi,

is it possible that Google Street View feature will be add into future release?
