Good morning, after having consulted the FAQ without success, I ask for help to solve the problem of installing PYTHON 3.7 on a MacBook Air release Golden 3.7 version 5005. Despite having followed all the instructions, at every home start Python appears disabled and is not found by the program. I have seen that other users have had the same problem, but I have not found a possible solution. Thanks

sorry, but I don't understand, if I ask a question, does it bother you because the python problem has presented itself in more ways over the years?

Ale is helping with every stupid question here. He is more or less the main Man running this project. So you could appreciate any help you get from him. He spends his time helping all of us, so no need to complain just because you didn't get a solution on a silver platter.

I'm not saying what you're asking is stupid. But link he posted shows a lot of threads regarding python problems created by you. Did you really spend enough time to try and resolve the problem on your own?

I had the same problem, except i'm Linux user. Btw, i managed to resolve my problem on my own. Here is what could be the problem. You either didn't use correct location for Python Home. Or you don't have correct version of python. I had to install Python 3.7.17 (in Linux) and now i have python working. I know Linux and Mac is not the same. But they are not that different either.

My "default" python was 3.10.12. But as i said. When i installed 3.7.17 it started working.

No, but since Python support has not changed from v3.6 to v3.7, and you continue asking exactly the same over the years I found more practical to do the search for you instead of starting over again from scratch, which I am not willing to do, BTW.

Please state what you did when asking for help — noone wants to play a guessing
game.

Do you need to install Python? It comes pre-installed with GoldenCheetah now.

If this is you

are you running an x86 Mac or an Apple Silicon Mac? It's important to use the
same architecture so that means installing an x86 version of Python if you've
downloaded GoldenCheetah even if you're on Apple Silicon. If you've built your
own ARM version, that's different For build 5005, you'll want to install Python
3.7.9 but I'm curious if the initial test of _not_ installing Python works, as
I've never had a problem with it.
