Withings Weight - Linking

Hello,

I had a user/public key for linking GC to Withings but I have lost it and I need to create a new one but I can't seem to find it on the new my.Withings.com web site...

Anyone know where it's pudding?

That's the problem, the share button is not there.

I believe you need to switch back to classic mode to find the share button.

That's what I had to do last time, but the old classic system is gone!

I had a look too and couldn't find my public key on the new system. Luckily it's still captured in GC. Maybe a call to Withings?

Here is the solution:

Hi Bossarts,

Thank you for contacting us. The feature you're looking for is located in our older web interface, which is no longer in active development.

You should still be able to access it by following these steps:

• Login to https://healthmate.withings.com
• Click on your email address in the upper right corner of screen and select Settings from the dropdown menu
• Under Devices click the button to Configure a WBS01
• On the next screen click My Dashboard
• You'll arrive at the old interface with the Share option

Please note that this interface is no longer supported so we would not be able to account for any potential software bugs. We are working to migrate as many features of this interface as possible over to the new interface, though I do not have a timeline that I am able to provide at the moment.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or requests at all, or if there's anything else I can help you with.

I don't appear to be able to arrive at the old interface with the Share option, even if I use the method above (and detailed in the FAQ). Has the old interface now disappeared for good? If so, is there a new way to link Withings data to GoldenCheetah?

I just tried creating a Withings account to sync to GC, but could n't find any way to get the User ID and Key. Tried following directions in Wiki and in the post linked below. I think Withings must have got rid of the web link to the old interface.

Hi,

Damien is now working on an update for the new API as the API we were using has been deprecated.

TBF we wrote it 7 years ago, and we should have switched at least 2 years ago.

Will be in the next development release.

For us who use garmin index scale, import from garmin connect to Golden cheetah isnt possibly? Maybe insert function sync via myfitnesspal to goldencheetah so atleast dont to have three accounts? (connect-myfitnesspal-whitings-GC) :) dont know if it would help though

Very cool.. have been using the 'old' version for some time now. Still works, once it is linked and running. Just a hack to find their 'old site', and link up.

Hi Mark,

Any chance of getting other weight systems implemented as well - I actually use a Fitbit Aria scale and was looking at using Withings as a simple hack to get the data in. Simplest might be to use a simple spreadsheet or CSV - preferrably located somewhere like Google drive. Most systems like Fitbit work with IFTT where you can get a rule to populate a row of a spreadsheet with any new weight.
