FYI, it's not hard to create your own workouts -- they're just in simple text file (ASCII) format. If you check out a book like "The Time-Crunched Cyclist ..." from the library (or buy it), you can take a few minutes to translate a whole training program, e.g.  Time-Crunched Training Program (TCTP),  into a series of ErgDB workouts to be used in GoldenCheetah.

A sample is shown below, which I translated from the book into ErgDB format. I used percentage of FTP vs. absolute wattage, to make it more useful. Save as *.erg and import into GoldenCheetah via Tools/Import Workouts...

Marcen,
Great point!

But honestly the hard part is not defining a workout for/in GoldenCheetah (via text file or the tool in GC) - instead it's building a comprehensive training program. That's where you'd need a library book, or a suite of workouts from ErgDB, etc.

Best of luck to Steve (and anyone else) for putting together good plans and sticking to them with GoldenCheetah.

I found the workout wizard easy to create a workout, but usually edit them in a spreadsheet which enables me to calculate total work.
For some reason when I added a workout editor chart I didn't get the edit buttons at the top and never looked into. This wiki page solved my issue, I just had to make the chart bigger.

Thanks for the video, spurred me on to solve that issue.
