I installed the latest v3 development build from the development site
and when I launched the program it is showing me the new cyclist
screen so looks like it is looking the wrong place.

My data is stored in:

C:\Users\Eamonn\AppData\Local\GoldenCheetah-v3\Eamonn

It's on Windows 7 x64.

I can move the directory but I don't know where to move it to. Can
anybody tell me where to move it?

Thanks

Eamonn

Mark set up a new rider so I could get to the help screen.

You may have a problem with this build. It's pointing to the
GoldenCheetah folder which is the v2 build so far as I'm aware. I
didn't install v2 when I rebuilt my computer a few months back so
there was no data there hence the message.

Me thinks I have done a "git reset --hard HEAD~" somewhere on my build
system and blown the tweaks that I did to store files in a separate
directory.

I will put the tweaks back in and post a new build tomorrow.

Sorry to all who may be affected.

Dont think this has been fixed yet
Installed V3 from 22/1/12 and i have "lost" myself as an athlete.
I have installed in to a non standard location in dropbox but this has
been working faultlessly for a few months

Any progress on this?
I just installed and my file location has changed to
LocalSettings Application Data
I run GC from a USB stick and my athlete data is in a folder under the
application called Library.
has always worked before.
Now using older files in a different location.

Any ideas how to get it working the way it used to?

regards

Sean

Below is the compilation of two other emails I sent on this issue:

I've downloaded the latest 2.1RC version and the 3.0 development version.

I imported today's ride into GC3 then when I closed GC3 and opened 2.1 it was already there???
That's never happened before since there are two distinct directories. GC3 somehow ended up pointing to the GC2 directory.

The problem is that I can't get back to the GC3 directory. There's no way to browse.
Any suggestions?

Then I sent this additional info:

As a followup I created a new athlete in GC3 and it created the directory in the GC2 subdirectory. I realize that's not the end of the world because I can just copy/move everything to that directory but it would be nice to revert to my existing data.

Gareth and I are posting new builds today. Hopefully the directory
structure will be sorted.
