Hi

I'm attempting to import a multi sport fit file into GC.

On importing the file all it shows is the first activity, eg the Swim.  I can't work out how to get the rest of the activities to show. I've tried googling but to no avail.

Is there something I've missed?

Thanks

Hey Mark

For my multisport files, I create laps for each of the disciplines and transitions, and then split it into it's subcomponents for multisport (Activity-->Split Activity). I usually discard the transitions and keep the sports (e.g. Swim/Bike/Run). This makes sure that GC handles each of the files appropriately ITO metrics and analysis (TSS, Speed/Pace, etc). If you name the events the same way, they will all come up in a search and I use workout Codes of 'Triathlon' and 'Duathlon' which are a subcat of 'Race', so that I can filter to find them when I need to.

I hope thats helpful..?

Ta,
Jean

Thanks for replying - only just found time to look at this again.

On import of the file it only shows the activity length of 400m.  I then go into split activity and even if i tick all the boxes it still doesn't produce anything except the swimming portion.  This is what I'm shown http://imgur.com/WUJ09vO . The swimming ends at 9 minutes 27, cycling starts at 12:16 and running starts 1:04:55

What boxes should i be ticking as I'm not quite sure I understand what is going on. Is the fact that it is showing zero distance for bike/run an issue?

Thanks

First get rid of all those laps. Then create 3 laps - 1 for your swim, run and bike. Then go split activity. Then it's a lot easier to play with the tick boxes to get it right. If you click 'next' from your screenshot, it will give you a summary of what it will do before it does it.. Eg. 'Delete 1 activity, create 3 new activities '. You will see by duration and distance if you have the ticks right, and can toggle back and forth.

Once the 3 files have been created, you may have to change the sport so that it reads the right way.

I have the same kind of issue with a Triathlon + transition file. Garmin Connect and Training Peaks both

Attached a multisport fit file that exhibits the same problems. I was once able to split the activity into multiple activities and then change types, but that time a) it didn't start with a swim b) was not in auto-triathlon mode.

Thanks!

I've admitted defeat - how do I remove laps (Garmin 920XT)

I feel awful being hand held through this but my google-fu is lacking at present.

I've attached my fit file for reference.

Look at the file in Activities-->Ride

You will see 'Intervals' in the left column. If its not there, hit the small icon on the lower left of the screen and it will appear.

Select all the intervals by either holding control and clicking on each of them individually, or clicking on the first, holding shift and clicking the last.

Click the 'hamburger' menu next to the overhead interval header, then 'Delete selected intervals'.

Voila.

I've had the pleasure of importing my first multisport activity from a weekend duathlon (Garmin 910XT with transitions).
I found all the start and end points with no issue and was able to use split activity to create 5 activities.

It appears that because the initial activity was a run, all cadence information is classified "RCAD".
With RCAD, I have no information in any chart that incorporates Cadence for the Bike

Short of editing the json file and reimporting, is there a way to change RCAD to CAD ? or cause an activity to be re-analyzed/reprocessed?
