I'm trying to add a chart to Golden Cheetah V3 which will chart both resting and standing heart rate from each morning.  I've added two data fields in the metric tab titled HR and Standing HR, and created a Long Term Metrics chart to plot them for the current selection of dates.  Then each day I edit these metrics after uploading my ride file, but nothing seems to show up in the chart.

Anyone have a solution or a better way to chart resting heart rate?  Thanks!

Would love this when you get it to work.

Nobody has any ideas for this one?  I'm sure lot's of folks would be interested in graphing this out...if it's not possible now it would be a great feature for future builds in my opinion.

Thanks!

I tried this also out, but unfortunately with no success as well. It seems that there is no value axis on self-defined metrics created, even if a description on the y-axis is defined by right clicking at the metric (where you can choose either color or options) when it is choosen in the user-defined tab (I use the german version, I don´t know the english menu descriptions, sorry ...).

What are we doing wrong?

The created metric "Resting HR" does not appear when I check it at Tools --> Options --> Metrics (in available metrics tab)

This is resolved now..

  1. Create a custom 'data field' (I made 2 - RHR and HRV that go in the 'Metric' screen tab that are both 'integers').
  2. I defined an additional sport called 'Metric' to record this, and gave it a custom colour.
  3. Record a manual file with zero duration, define it as 'Metric' and plug values into the new custom fields.
  4. Create a chart in 'Trend' view, and you will see the 2 new fields in 'Fields'.
Voila.. tracks perfectly!

Thanks guys.
