Hello,

maybe someone could give me a hint. Since I changed my pedal powermeter from Garmin to Assioma RS2 the "scatter plot" diagram is missing a lot of datapoints. On a different bike with Assioma Pro MX2 pedals the plot shows the complete data..
Pro RS2:

Pro MX-2

Any Idea why this happens?

Your scatter plot in the screenshots is plotting slope on the y-axis,
gear ratio on the x-axis.

I think neither the data for slope nor the data for gear ration is
related to your powermeter.

Probably, the issue lies elsewhere.

I'd guess, gear ratio might be calculated from speed and cadence. You would expect discrete values from chainring/cog combinations.

Hence I would think, either speed (no dedicated sensor but GPS only?) or cadence has plenty of noise on the second bike.
I can't read the slopes on my mobile, but they would be flawed by bad speed consistency too.

Thanks for answers. On the second bike (road) there is a dedicated speed sensor but no one on the first bike (gravel)...

Back home with access to my data, there seems to be another reason. I'm seeing data similar to your first picture (discrete gear ratios only) for every ride with electronic shifting, similar to your second screenshot for manual shifting.

Does that match your setup and experience?

Right,  gear ratio is computed from front/rear cogs when available (sed Raw Data) giving discrete values, otherwise estimated from speed/cadence which is noisier.

Thank you all very much for the clarification ❤️.
