Help please on Withings Weight.
Before I updated to 3.2 I happily downloaded my Withings Data and allowed that to adjust my W/kg values. I've set up http://wbsapi.withings.net with my User ID and Public Key.
Since I updated to 3.2 I found that when I update the Withings Data, instead of a message saying "Downloaded 23 new measurements" I get "Downloaded 1 new measurement" which makes me suspicious.
My W/kg doesn't seem to update with the Withings data.
I've created a chart and added the "Weight" measure but I see only two defaut weights I put in for myself last year.

Any suggestions to help me troubleshoot this please?

Are you using the metric  "Athlete Weight" on the chart ?

Thanks for the reply Mark. I added Athlete weight and then had to re-set the selected dates to get some data to show. That solves one problem but raises another.

When I look at the daily readings I'm surprised that most of the time it seems to default to 76kg, however I weigh myself both in the morning and evening virtually every day. My weight has fluctuated between about 72-74kg (summer) to between 75 and 76kg now. I wonder why the program reverts back to 76kg and what happened to all the other Withings measurements I've taken? I presume my W/kg calculations will be off a little for the days when the reading reverts to 76kg?

Also I should ask - on the weight chart I'd like to set the Y axis to start at 70kg. I set the baseline in the curve settings at 70 but this didn't make any difference. Thanks

It looks like you have weight recorded in the ride file, this overrides all weight values.

We use
1. Weight as recorded in ride
2. Last withings measurement
3. Default weight from athlete profile
4. 75 kg

In that order, until we have a non-zero value

Mark - having looked through my ride data, I couldn't find any embedded weight data so I ran an experiment at setting my Athlete weight to 70kg. Straight away that showed up in my weight chart data as the default, rather than any other Withings data. Why is it not picking up all the Withings data?

Have you deleted the withings.json and started GC ?
It should download all data at that point, or indicate if there is an issue.

Thanks Mark. I deleted the withings.json as suggested and then fetched new data. It fetched in 2759 new data points. It's fair to say that I weigh myself more than once a day when I'm at home but obviously not at all when I'm away. These data points reflect data from Nov 26 2013 to Nov 6 2015.
When I plot them on the weigh chart I get the chart below. As you can see there are still many days when the weight reverts to my default weight of 75kg. That's not an issue at the moment as I'm about that weight, but does make a difference to W/kg during summer when I was down at 72kg.

My conclusion is that GC is not using "last Withings measurement" but reverting to default quite often.

Also I figured out the GC behaviour when there is more than one Withings measurement during the day - it takes the last reading of the day. Not so great for me as I tend to be heaviest at night after my evening meal but I can live with that.

Any light you can shed on why it's not using the last Withings measurement would be appreciated.Happy to give you any help you need to assist as it's awesome software :)
regards
David

Your files must have Weight metadata.
Check the Extra tab.

Checked and can't see anything - to be honest I don't know what I'm looking for but here is the pic.

I'm experiencing the same thing. If I don't have a Withings weight recorded the same day as a ride, GC uses the default weight from my Athlete Profile for that day.

It would be preferable for GC to use the last recorded Withings weight rather than defaulting to the profile weight.
