Hello, this is probably addressed somewhere but I couldn't find it (I
looked, honest!). Is there a way to add an estimation of power data
for rides that are done without any power measurement? I'd like to get
something...even if it's not 100% accurate...in there for times I'm on
a bike w/o a power meter. Thanks :)

There is a "Manual ride entry" option in one of the menus. It lets you enter the length, duration, estimated bike score and Daniel's points (it even takes a guess at those last two based on the distance or duration).

It would be nice if v3 had an option to specify a TSS for the ride. Maybe it could just take the estimated Bike Score and use that as the TSS? Right now it looks like manually entered rides are not listed in the Performance Manager chart when TSS is the criteria, even if a Bike Score was given for the ride.

See the metrics tab - you can override any metric including TSS. There is a wiki entry that explains this in more detail:

Hi
I have a similar dilemma as some ride I have powertap and others only
heart rate.
I have a free account with TP and upload rides to that.
If there is no power data TP will do an estimate based on HR call
hrTSS.
I then add hrTSS as the figures for TSS and bikes score in Golden
Cheetah.
Seems to work providing you set your FTP in TP ok.

I just read a thread on the Wattage forum entitled. TSS from HR and cadence calculator.

Would it be possible to incorporate such a calculator in Golden cheetah for those rides when there is no power meter.
Could generate a metric known as hrTSS (as per TP) which could then be copied into TSS metric as required.
Currently if I have no power meter I upload the ride to TP which calculates hrTSS. I then put this back in Golden Cheetah.
Would be cool if Golden cheetah could do the calc and the thread on the Wattage forum seemed encouraging.

Yes, Armando has been in touch with me recentlt and I will look to add this somehow. It is more likely to be used to calulate an 'estimated FTP' for each ride than affect any TSS/BikeScore calculations.

Would be interesting to plot over time as a marker of probable FTP changes.

The manual ride entry tab in GC estimates bike score for non power meter
rides based on either time or distance and your recent previous rides.
it's pretty simple but using my data it looked reasonably close. Keep
in mind that BS and TSS are models that approximate what we think is
going on in a complex physiological system. They're not exact
measurements.

The manual ride entry tab could be extended to also do TSS (TSS wasn't
in GC 2.0 when I did it originally), and the same technique could be
used to estimate BS/TSS for rides with a computer but no power meter.

For now what I do is to upload the non-pm ride, then use the manual ride
entry to get the BS estimate, which I then add to the ride by editing it.
