Hi there,

My GoldenCheetah install is working wonderfully this season. ANT+ connections with my Saris Magnus and Stages power meter are rock solid. I reset my config xml file to make Strava activity naming work better and learned how to generate/find/use fancier zwo files. A big thank you to maintainers!

With things working so well I'm looking for new ways to break, wait, sorry, I mean improve my install.

I'm syncing workouts to Strava. In summer I always take pics on my rides to attach to activities. The GC synced workouts look a little sad and colour-less in my activity feed since they don't have any GPS maps or other imagery attached.

Is there a feature to enable any kind of image upload with activities synced to Strava? I am imagining a power/HR plot as relatively easy.

If I figured out a video overlay setup could those rides also include virtual GPS info and a map? I haven't looked deeply at video overlay since I'm usually watching TV/movies during indoor rides.

I've googled, searched the GC wiki and this group with no luck so I'm doubtful but thought I'd ask in case I'm not using good search terms.

I freely admit an image upload to Strava would be a fancy frill. Entirely unnecessary but if the feature exists I'd love to use it!

Cheers,
Andrew

To attach images as metadata is a recurrent request, but I think Strava API neither support images attached to activities: https://developers.strava.com/docs/reference/

If your activity is a simulation with coordinates (GPX or JSON exported from a GC activity) a Live Map can be displayed over video or as a separate chart, and lat/lon are included in the generated activity even when you don't use a Live Map, so Strava can display a map afterwards.

While you can do a screenshot / upload any pics (manually) to Strava, this process is not available to ALL API users unless you're a "partner" and which AFAIK, the partners being TR / Rouvy / Zwift and most of the bigger known names.
