Hey, my cadence is missing when opening the tcx file from garmin connect.
Altough I can find it in another column in the csv tab, how can I fix this ? Because when I try to export the data to CSV my cadence is missing image_2021-03-13_214706.png

Likely because it was imported as a running activity so the series is Running Cadence instead of Cadence

Is there a way to fix this ?

Yes, at least two:

After import you can create the missing column and copy&paste the data in Editor, se the wiki for details.

Before import make sure the tcx file is generated as a Bike, instead of Run, activity.

I'm on GoldenCheetah_v3.6-DEV_x64.AppImage 255 MB Jul 10, 2022
When importing from Garmin Express (either or tcx or fit), no cadence info gets imported.
The activity is created as Bike activity.  This Bike info is apparently also parsed into GC as you can see in the screenshot (Sport = Bike, SubSport = route).

There are newer v3.6 releases available RC2 and yesterday snapshots.

When importing from Garmin Express (either or tcx or fit), no cadence info gets imported.
The activity is created as Bike activity.  This Bike info is apparently also parsed into GC as you can see in the screenshot (Sport = Bike, SubSport = route).

If you attach sample files we could give it a look.

I imported both files on current snapshot build (http://www.goldencheetah.org/#section-download) and both have Cadence, the fit file has additional series from CIQ fields.

Issue is still not fixed.  I upgraded GC to build date 29/01/2023 01:49:58.
I still have the same issue, no cadence data gets imported. ("No data available.").

As commented above both files you attached import correctly and they have Cadence in Raw Data, Performance Chart, Cadence Chart, etc.
If you are having issues with some charts I suggest to use View > Reset Layout to update them to current version.
Attached is a CSV file exported after import your FIT file, which also has cadence.

Can you explain in detail which the issue is, using the FIT file you attached previously?

I can import the tcx and fit files you previously attached without issue in the build you quote below on Linux appimage.

This is really weird.
Do you see anything wrong in my settings :

Are there any othersettings or log files I could share that could reveal useful info to troubleshoot this ?

In the processor "Fix freewheeling power/cadence" I have Manual set. You have Import. In fact have all those settings as manual so possibly it is one of those causing your issue.

Setting "Fix freewheeling power/cadence" to Manual didn't help.  But setting on top "Set SmO2/tHB from Speed and Cadence" to from "Import" to "Manual" fixed the issue.  Don't understand the logic, but anyhow it works now.  Thanks !
