I install GC to Dropbox. This could be a USB stick as well.
Under the GC install directory I create a "Library" folder. This is
the key. GC looks for this and uses it instead of the normal install
path.
When you run GC it will create users in the Library folder.
I have Dropbox on multiple machines (Mac, Windows, Linux) and they all
access the same data.
Just try not to access them at the same time. Get some weirdness
happening.
There is a feature request for specifying a custom save location.
Writing this reminds me I better change the Windows installer as if
you have this setup and do an Uninstall it will delete the GC install
directory and everything in it and that wouldn't be a good thing.
Sorry for the delay and the bad information.
You need to make a "Library" folder and then a "GoldenCheetah-v3"
folder beneath the "Library" folder.
Was going off of memory and not looking at the code.
Gareth
"My Dropbox\GoldenCheetah-v3"
then create folders so you would have the following path
"My Dropbox\GoldenCheetah-v3\Library\GoldenCheetah-v3"
Next time you start GC it should use this path to store your user
data.
You can use a USB drive in much the same way.
