Strava segments integration

Just read news that TrainingPeaks is now parsing .fit files for completed Strava segments on devices which supports Strava live segments, maybe this would be a cool thing to look at in GC as well. See http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/08/trainingpeaks-adds-strava-segment-integration.html . I haven't looked into exactly what information that is in the file except for the segment name that Ray mentions, I hope that it's some timestamps or something else as well which should make it semi-easy to integrate. 

If anyone has a .fit file from a device capable of strava live segments, and where you are sure that you triggered a segments, it would be awesome if you could post the file here.

AFAIK segments from .fit files are already recognized in GC v4 (dev1607)
see image below, here the interval name was automatically assigned and it's a Strava segment.

Cool, I guess it's time to buy an Edge 520 so I can enjoy the goodness :)

Can this be done with .gpx files extracted from Strava? That would be super cool!

I don't believe the GPX files support segments. A quick look at the gpx export of my ride this morning from Strava does not have my segments in it, so the import wouldn't work the same. 

I don't use the Strava integration in Golden Cheetah to comment on whether it could be added there.

What about WKO+ 3.0 files? Can Strava segments be recognized by GC from them, too?

We can recognise intervals from WKO files, segments aren't recorded in them.
