Hi Ale.
The subject has "v3.8 March 2026 development build" and the link is to Releases v3.8-DEV2601.

Just confirming as per discussion 3 Feb this is still suitable for Mac Monterey;
> When we release v3.8 Monterey will be 2 years out of support so I think we should put this to rest, last official release for Monterey will be v3.7.1 or technically v3.8-DEV2601.

Hi Steve, I was glad you were asking smarter questions and helping other user recently, don't regress to the old times, please. I am older and less patient now.

Hello, a note about isPlanned and the filter box. isPlanned does not appear in the preselection list.

Thanks, Ale, for the fix. It works well.

I noticed three other issues, but they don’t seem to be related to the DEV build.
When a session is downloaded from TrainerDay in the Train view, the Classic Download tab doesn’t display a list of all sessions.

In the Trends view:
In a user chart with a table tile, BikeScore is displayed as BikeScore™. This is also the case in Python.

Bildschirmfoto_20260405_215622.png
In a distribution chart set to metrics in Plot, the labels for the X and Y axes are not displayed correctly.

Thank you very much also from my side for implementing the copy&paste possibility in the Plans view, which I have brought up here a few weeks ago!

which are basically the same as v3.8-DEV2603 plus some fixes to prevent crashes, an updated Spanish translation and other minor fixes.

Feedback is welcome, Cheers, Ale.

Hi,
I use that snapshot built from 27. April with linux. After importing a trainingpeaks export from a different Athlete, I wanted tot remove the workouts via the delete funktion in GC. But after deleting two workouts, GC crashes. That was  reproduceable one import of a TP-file + two delete operations via GC delete function. Without an import it needs a few more delete processes to a crash.
For me, I found a workaround, I removed the json-Files in an xterm-terminal via rm xxx.json xyz.json....

Bye,
Matthias

Hi, thanks for your feedback, there is a new PR addressing crashes on activity deletion you can try from https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Joern-R/goldencheetah-knhd8/builds/53974564/job/as5a88gl30ff1imd/artifacts

According to the log it seems you are using a no longer supported macOS version, see the release notes.

Hi Ale,
thanks for the tip. My MacBook Air is from 2015 and is running "macOS Monterey version 12.7.6". I guess I have no choice but to invest in new hardware. :-(

I have the same Macbook and am running GC3.8 - 2601 - 5010 on OSX.
These macbooks run Linux well (faster than OSX in my view) and can be dual boot or completely Linux.
I have run OpenSuse Leap 15.6 and just in the last week Kubuntu 26.04 LTS on another macbook which installed easily and runs real nice but which I have yet to try connecting to my trainer.

If you are interested I will see how it goes, I use ANT+ for all my connections.

We switched to the oldest still supported macOS version with the objective to support newer versions but, considering Apple is deprecating x64 support after Tahoe and we can now build on arm64 for newer versions, may be we can go back to Monterey for x86 builds for backward compatibility.
I created a build from current master on Monterey which can be downloaded from https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/releases/tag/snapshot, but we need users help with testing with macOS versions ideally from Monterey to Tahoe on x86 since this would replace the x86 Sonoma version.
Feedback is welcome.
Cheers, Ale.

Thanks Steve, good to know.

It would be useful to know how this Monterey generated version works on newer macOS versions, if other macOS can collaborate with testing feedback is welcome.

FYI : The shapshot "GoldenCheetah_v3.8_x64_Monterey.dmg" works on my old "macOS Monterey version 12.7.6" fine

Thank you, see https://groups.google.com/g/golden-cheetah-users/c/_n9-ebzpD3c/m/X6u-mIZGAgAJ, that build became the official x64 build for macOS now.
