3.6 not starting

v3.6 is not starting, never has.

v3.5 has always worked fine on my win10 pc 64bit

i tried 3.6 a while back and had no luck and tried the latest 3.6 build again today.

i still have r 3.5.2 installed

I installed the C++ libraries along with GC and rebooted.

what i see

- i choose the user.

- %age progress goes to 100%

- then nothing. %age progress disappears (if i just run the .exe with no arguments it stays as 100%)

what I tried

- rebooting

- starting as admin

- loading a different user

- running this: "C:\Program Files\Golden Cheetah\GoldenCheetah.exe" -platform windows:dpiawareness=0

- running just the raw executable with no arguments

I'm about to revert back to 3.5 which I'm reasonably sure will work.

win 20H2, 64 bit

Based on similar reports, current recommendation is not to install v3.6 over v3.5, use a new folder or uninstall/remove before if you want to use the same:

IMPORTANT: Windows installation notes:
a) do not install to the same folder as an existing install
b) install the vc++ redistributable
c) reboot before running
All 3 steps are required.
