Hi,

Quick update on the key functionality  that is planned for v4.0.

We are looking at two distinct areas of development for V4.0 both closely related.
Damien and I are already starting on 1b and 1c :)

1. Plan Design and Tracking Execution

a) Goal, Event and Outcome planning
- medals and podiums - e.g. gold at rio in the TP, 1st at end season club hill-climb
- races and events, ABC - e.g. Paris Roubaix, Marmotte, Ride of the falling leaves
- metrics and targets - e.g. 5min power, CP, weight, miles for the season

b) Providing for top-down planning; training load.
- support periodisation or ad-hoc
- support for any load metric
- input into pmc

c) Providing for bottom-up planning; workout design
- workout library and designer
- use power or w'bal or miles etc
- automated 'erg' or emailable description

d) Plan Tracking
- future PMC etc
- link activity to planned workout - measures of compliance
- progress to plan - metrics etc

2. Connecting Community and Science via Web

a) Share and Contribute
- workouts, plans
- charts

b) Open data resource
- aggregate anonymised data collected from users
- analysis of data and insight
- query/download data for use (health, practitioners, coaches, researchers etc)

c) Open studies
- mass participation in open intervention studies
- baseline testing method

No kidding! This is a huge leap forward (at least from where I'm sitting), and it is very exciting. Thanks for all the hard work, guys.

Hi Mark,
Too late to ask for the possibility to shift one data set in compare mode back and forth on the X - axis to easily align two or more comparing curves?

The ability to shift one interval relative to another (or multiple intervals relative to one reference interval) would be extremely helpful!

Do you want "small" requests in the group, or in GitHub?  (E.g. "As a user I want to delete multi-selected workouts in the Workout list on the Training page so that I can remove large numbers of workouts from that list more quickly".)

If its not on github it gets lost in the stream of words here.

We triage and sometimes place items into the parking lot if they're a bit 'niche'. This means they are unlikely to go into the release queues but someone else might see it and follow up on it. Sometimes its a more polite way of 'rejecting' feature requests ;)

As it happens management of the workout library and defining new ones is key to the 'bottom up' aspect of planning. So this is likely to get addressed in v4.

Feel free to add it :)
