Did a first-time install of GoldenCheetah_v3.4_64bit_Windows.exe .
N
y OS: Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit, Version 6.1, Build 7601, SP1 .

Successfully imported about 850  *.WKO files from my local WKO directory.

After the import, I noted:

Q1)    "Golden Cheetah \ AthleteName \ imports"  folder now contains copies of all the WKO files.

Any reason to keep these copies of WKO files?

I'd prefer to delete them & tidy up.   I'm going to keep the original files in my WKO directory.

Q2)  What is purpose of the *.cpx files in the "Golden Cheetah \ AthleteName \ cache"  folder?

"Cache" implies temporary or expendable --  there are about 500MB of cpx files.   Shouls these files be kept, or is it safe to delete?

To allow access to the original file if you need to re-import it.

It's up to you, these files are not required.

They are there to speed-up metrics computations, if you delete them you will not lose any data but they will be recomputed on the next run and this may take a while.

I moved the cpx files to Recycle Bin when GC was closed.

Restarted GC, and the cache\cpx  files simply get (slowly) re-created.   Now I see there's no point in deleting *.cpx files, unless there was good reason to think files were corrupted.

The entire cache folder is previously computed or downloaded metrics and aggregates.
You can delete its contents, but they'll just be recomputed.
