Building for MacOS 26.x on ARM64 (M3), Withings sync

Hi all,

thank you again for this awesome software. After a long wait, I finally got a Withings scale to replace my Garmin one. I saw that you can sync body metrics with GC, which is great. However, it isn't working at the moment.

I am on MacOS 26 with an M3 processor and don't want to install Rosetta (which means I cannot use the precompiled GC images, if I understand this correctly). Thus, I have built GC myself and configured it successfully to work with Strava. However, I could not sync with Withings. I wonder if I have to recompile and take some extra steps that I am not aware of.

As of now, what I tried is the following (v3.7, Strava sync working):

- I selected "Share > Add Cloud Account" from the menu

- There, I used "Measures > Withings"

- In the opened dialog, I did the authorization, which gave a success message
- However, the fields "Token" in the same dialog remains empty afterwards
- When I click "next":
  - Sync on start: false
  - Sync on import: false

- If I finished the setup via the button of the dialog and try to sync (via the menu) "Body Measures", the Withings option is grayed out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Similar to Strava you need to get and configure API credentials for Withings in gcconfig.pri, see https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/blob/8a19c38b3ae21b1a0bbd60171ede08b84d8f6e86/src/gcconfig.pri.in#L241-L243

No, I  never did that myself.

A quick search indicates you likely can use your existing account for personal use starting from https://developer.withings.com/dashboard/welcome

I searched simultaneously and found the same. I registered for the free API usage, entered the credentials in my config and rebuilt. Working like a charm now. Thank you. :-)
