Been searching and diddling the video-layout.xml file in the config folder.

I am only getting speed, cadence/HRM combo and Watts/target watts overpays left to right.

Windows and my old CT.  I really like to see the grade before it increases suddenly.  ;)

I figure I am missing something, and have lots of hours googling, searching here and digging to no avail.

Thanks

Hi, first be sure you are using the latest version (3.7.1) and then use View > Reset Layout to get the latest layout, select Video Workout Perspective and in the Video tab use the down arrow to go to config so you can choose which Overlays you want, there you can also reset to default to get the latest, for example Graphical meters with Map includes a zoomed altitude widget on the right which is handy for what you want.

May be your workout doesn’t include GPS data, it is necessary for the map, obviously.

I had already done this:

 <meter name="livemap" container="Video" source="LiveMap" type="LiveMap">
#<RelativeSize Width="125.0" Height="45.0" />
      <RelativeSize Width="0.0" Height="0.0" />

Great! I added that to default video-layout.xml for other users, I don't know why I didn't that originally.

I'd not tinkered with much code, html or 100 years ago DOS batch files from He!! with ansi codes  stuck in a 4k environment echoed for pretty output.   It was fun once I got my sea legs back under me a bit.
Now how do I copy the workouts I imported the gpx files over to my other PC without recreating for other PC?  I copied the entire user folder with the config folder but that did not do it.

Thanks for the help and encouragement, :)

I been there, I am 63, it sucks but the alternative is worse :)

I am not sure I understand the problem, here is a panoramic view which may help:

I have 2 lap tops, one in the shop with the CT. I've been working on editing the video-layout.xml and importing GPX into workout in the house testing with robot.  So question is how do I get the workouts I created onto the laptop out in the shop from the work I di on the inside laptop, what do I copy over?

video-layout.xml can be copied over when GC is closed, for workouts you can copy and then use Scan Workouts to update Train DB or use import workout, the difference is explained in the link I posted before.

Yeah, sorry brain fart on my part:  I'll put it here in case others might also want to know now that we've mentioned it.

Thanks so much.

"Import vs Scan

All methods described above, except the last one, copy Workout and VideoSync files to the Workout and VideoSync Library folder when the original files is in a different folder, so you end up with 2 copies of each file in this case: the original which remains untouched, and the copy in the Workout and VideoSync Library folder which is actually used, eventually modified and deleted if you remove it from the library using Train SideBar.

Scan never copies Workouts and VideoSync files to the Workout and VideoSync Library folder, so beware they are always used, eventually modified and deleted from their original location. Additionally Scan rebuilds the TrainDB database (References to files not present in current scan are removed from the library, newly scanned ones are added, and those already present remain unaffected), so it is an effective way to re-sync it when you add, move or delete files to the scanned folders without using the GoldenCheetah interfase."
