We recently merged a contribution to select the BTLE sensors to be paired in Device Wizard, details can be found in https://github.com/GoldenCheetah/GoldenCheetah/pull/4422Updated Snapshot build including this features are available from https://www.goldencheetah.org/#section-download, currently only for Linux and Windows, no macOS for now.
--Thanks to the developers for the improvements in BT connectivity and the progress chart when fast forwarding through a workout. After very easy pairing on openSUSE I initially had issues on my laptop where I had to add a USB BT adapter due to the older native adapter of the laptop. I had intermittent connection to sensors with the on/off button and then no connection at all.
--I have a dedicated old laptop with openSUSE for my trainer rides, I found an issue with BT reconnection. Not sure if my issue is OS related or GC related or could be avoided with a modification to the code. After some playing around today I found that GC would not reconnect to the trainer/sensors using BT after the following scenario without rebooting the laptop.
Note that at 2. above, the Train power button in Train view is still green. Going back to train view the sensors are still connected.
Closing and restarting GC does not solve the issue.
Unplugging and re-inserting the BT adapter does not solve the problem.
Commands in the terminal show BT is present and active.
If after 2. above I switch back to Train view and click the Train power button off to red then close the laptop lid all works as normal when I reopen the lid some time later.
If this behaviour is more general and not specific to my use case I can add a note to the Wiki suggesting the action in the line above.
Steve
I have tested the Bluetooth wizard under Windows 10.
I was able to connect the Taxc Neo and the Polar H10 without any problems.A short ride shows no dropouts in the recording.
