I can open the Trainer Road website in CG and that is awesome.

This made me think if there is a way to pull some of that data in to my custom fields, particularly the progression levels. This values is visible in the HTML so it should be available, the question is how.

I know this is not the intent of the web view but if someone has done something like this then I would like to know what you did.

Related to this Webpage chart, I can see that the text string "Hit return to apply URL" is not present in the translation files

Writing a Python Data Processor. If you know (or are willing to learn) how to retrieve fields from html pages using Python, the information to set metadata fields is in the wiki. Otherwise, cut and paste.

Thanks for all the information.

I would surely like to learn more. I did a bit of playing with python.

Keep up the good work.

Getting the Trainer road data into GC using python seems impossible until I found this (GC.webpage) now it look possible.  I can see the data in the chart view but would like to have it in a variable. Can GC.webpage populate a variable?

I can surly use Python to find the progression levels and save it to metadata fields.

So if someone has an idea how to get this in a variable it would be nice.

(The data on the webpage is behind a username and passwords so it is not easy to scrape in GC)

Webpage chart is not user programmable or can set data fields, see my response above.
