When you add a device in tools->options->devices->add the last page lets you define virtual channels as well as wheel size etc.

Thanks for the quick response. I repaired and actually paid attention to the options this time! Everything is working perfectly now.

To be fair, there is no edit option, it would be nice but figured it was such an edge case we could add it after more important stuff is done.
