Map View: Providing API Key for OSM Data

Regarding the Map view: I would like to use https://tile.thunderforest.com/landscape/ and have an API key for thunderforst. In the thunderforest docs it say to use https://tile.thunderforest.com/landscape/{z}/{x}/{y}.png?apikey=[myAPIkey] . But this does not work

how do I pass the API key with the tile server URL?

Currently you can't, a source code change is required to enable this.
