Hi there,

I am new to Golden Cheetah and I want to use it to analyse my power meter data for my rides and from TrainerRoad workouts. I have an Dropbox account and have synced TrainerRoad to load my workouts to my dropbox account. I want to load the TrainerRoad tcx file into GC but it seems to not show any of the files to download to GC from dropbox. I am i missing something and doing it wrong. I have added my account in the preferences part for Dropbox account in GC but no such luck. I have managed to download a file manually from TR and upload it to GC ok, but I want it do do it without the manual option.

Thanks

Graham

The dropbox sync reads and writes json.zip files to your dropbox storage.
If you need to import the TCX files then they will need to be downloaded and imported manually.

We could add a feature to let you import from a dropbox folder, will think on that.

A feature which would allow to import .tcx or .fit would be really awesome!

It's outside of the native dropbox sync support, but if you have a local
folder that's synced with the dropbox client, then presumably it would
work as an auto-import source (note I haven't tried this myself)..

Tools -> Options -> Athlete -> Auto Import

I'm doing that now. It works fine.

I sync tcx files from Garmin/strava to dropbox via tapiriik. Then, when I open GC, it runs a little slow while the auto-import chugs along in the background. Before too long, maybe 5-15 seconds, I get a popup saying auto-import finished. After that, it runs smooth again and the new stuff all fills in on the left bar.
