I have been playing around with v3.0 on my Mac with 10.8.2. Overall, it has been great. There is just one item that might prevent me from being able to use it this season. I can not seem to find a way to manually input TSS (I need this for my non power metered activities). With the inclusion of the Coggan metrics, I would prefer to switch to NP/TSS. While the ability to edit BikeScore/xWatts still exists, I am unable to find even a workaround for editing TSS. Any ideas?

(On a more minor note, I can not get the starting LTS (from Preferences:Athlete:PerformanceManager) to show up on my PMC. I am starting a new season and would prefer to not have to go from 0.)

v3.0 is a big step forward. Thanks for the contribution.

You can manually enter TSS under Information --> Metric.

Regarding manual entry of TSS:
That is what I would have thought. Attached is a screen shoot of what I see under metrics. I do not have TSS in that list. The whole list is shown. This is Summary --> Analysis --> Metics. I can not seem to find Information --> Metrics.

Regarding Starting LTS:
Yes, I entered it for the appropriate athlete under Preferences:Athlete:PerformanceManager, but that value is not used in the PMC chart. I have entered various numbers and restarted the app.

Thanks for help here! Cheers, Todd

It would be a little nicer if we would modify the manual ride entry dialog to be able to estimate TSS too.  When it was made, GC didn't use TSS at all, so it only estimates BikeScore & DanielsPoints.  Would be nice to bring this to to speed.

Todd,
You need to add this in settings.

Goto: Tools > Options > Ride Data Tab.
Then 'Insert' a new metric.
And populate it as follows:
Screentab="Metric", Field ="TSS", Type="Double" and tick Diary.

Seems crazy to have to go through all of this just to manually add TSS.  I know it is a one time thing and we probably forget since we have had our GC setups for a long time, but what a pain for new users...

What I think would be great is if we had an option to select which "stress system" the user wanted to use by default.  GC currently supports TSS (Coggan), BikeScore (Skiba), DanielsPoints, TRIMPS, maybe others that I'm not thinking of right now.  There are lots of places around GC that still show BikeScore and/or DanielsPoints, for example Manual Ride Entry and Weekly Summary.  Both of these are hard coded in and cannot be changed.  Personally I use TSS, so it is kind of useless to me to see my weekly Daniels Points/BikeScore in the weekly summary.

Well, we made it configurable, so setting up as a one off is not really such a big ask. The defaults were agreed a long, long time ago. I think the GC defaults in general suck. They reflect the journey we have travelled to get here, not where we are right now.

But as it happens there is a feature request open for v3 for this, its part of the request for a setup wizard for new users.

Diary needs to be ticked!! This saved me so much. I've been putting in TSS estimates for the rare runs I do, couldn't work out why they didn't show up in the PMC.

The diary check box just means the value is shown in the text you see in the calendar in diary. The PMC will always use the values from the activities.

Really? Haven't seen the impacts on the PMC until today - although, in fairness, I'm doing these short runs to pad out the TSS, and only started doing any running just after some enormous TSS days (300-400) so maybe I just couldn't see the difference.
Looking forward to 3.1 :)
