Alternative to reveal controls

Hi all,
I am fully aware why the reveal controls on top of the charts were removed, but they saved a lot of clicks for me. Could - by any chance - a similar functionality be added? My thoughts revolve around config-sets similar to bookmarks that can be selected from the dropdown-menu embedded in the tabs. This would not only give quick access to multiple configurations but also reduce the number of tabs.
If there is interest in this addition, I could start deepening the concept.
