Tracking equipment usage

I have two identical wheel sets - one for the trainer and one for
outside rides - and I want to keep tap on millage put on each one.
So, I'm looking for a convenient way of doing this. I'm considered
using a simple spreadsheet on my PC, but I can predict it will
get abandon rather quickly due to it's inconvenience and "extra
steps" involved...

I recognize this most be a very common scenario, so decided to
post this question to the group to see what cleaver ways you use
to do this? Does GC provide a mechanism to keep track of this
type of data?

Yes, you can do this with GC easily.
Under 'Options' and 'Data Fields' define a text field, e.g. 'Wheelset'. Now you can enter your Wheelset in the 'Details' tab in Ride-view.
Later you can filter your data to see whatever metric you want for one or  another wheelset.
