The merge commit in the GC history is causing my update of local master to origin (my github GC fork) ) to fail, this appears to be caused by the merge commit not being allowed:
GH006: Protected branch update failed for refs/heads/master. remote: remote: - This branch must not contain merge commits.
The default origin branch settings have a linear history requirement, should I change my branch settings, or can this be resolved in the upstream branch ?
