I have a large grammar for which GOLD reports a missing production.

But when I export the productions via "tools>export tables>formatted text" the missing rule is present.

On the other hand GOLD does neither export all productions nor the log. Seems to be an error on following a pointer.

I would like to try an older version of GOLD.

You can obtain old versions of V5 via web archive (and V3 by browsing the archive for devincook.com):

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a working V4 version link on the archive (the one link which had been archived unfortunately shows a 404 page capture). I have the binaries of V4.1.0 at hand if none of the V5 versions work for you and you don't depend on the new features; just let me known.

Thx. It turned out, that a space between the last character of the name of a nonterminal and the '>' is significant.
This wasn't so in version 2 and seems undocumented.

Yeah, the new builder versions are not as sloppy as the old ones in terms of naming. However, the error messages received are usually pretty distinct and the process of creating the tables fails, so that I dismissed this as option after reading your initial question. Glad you found the issue though.

Best regards, Arsène
