LIFT plus GOLD

Just thought you might want to know what we're doing in the LEGO
project, i.e., trying out the LIFT schema on some sample lexicons
prior to mapping the linguistic concepts in the lexicon to GOLD. We
thought we would use Gary's metaschema/semantic interp language to do
the GOLD mapping. But I just got the following message from John
Hatton:

BTW, FieldWorks language explorer also uses the Gold
Ontology through its "glossing assistant", if that would ease your
work any.
You could bring the lexicon into LIFT, mark it up with GOLD using the
glossing assistant, then export as LIFT.

So we'll try that path instead. I will keep you posted on the
results.
