Hi @go-nuts!

I'm Brian Ketelsen and I maintain GopherTimes.com and @gophertimes.  The website is a news feed of interesting tidbits about Go, and the twitter account is a Go related account that mostly broadcasts notices about posts on the website - and retweets other interesting Go tweets.

I say "maintain" but I really mean, "created" because I've done a poor job lately of staying on top of the news.  I also run a very busy company in my spare time, and have many small children, I'm hacking on and speaking about Skynet, and I'm finishing up my Pragmatic Bookshelf book on Go, too, somewhere in there.  I'm looking for an editor or two to help keep GopherTimes up to date.  Every time I look at my email box and see a half a dozen flagged items to post, it makes me sad.

GopherTimes needs:

1.  A little code love for the website - it's written against r58 and the old template system.  It needs to be updated to be more current.  It also has a HORRIBLE UI for the admin of the site.  (seriously - horrible).   I also havegophertimes.appspot.com started, and it would be a nice exercise to move Gophertimes over to AppEngine just for reasons of promotion of Go on GAE.
2.  An editor or two or three.  Go is gaining momentum, and it's easy to miss all the news that is flying by.  A few more people to post news events and keep the site up to date would be awesome.
3.  More promotion.  Gophertimes has a very loyal following of visitors, but I'd love to see it generate more traffic.  There are so few websites dedicated to Go, that it's important for the community to have a privately run news site.

If you're interested in helping with #1, the gophertimes code is on Github :  https://github.com/bketelsen/gophertimes  Pull requests and patches are greatly appreciated!  If you're interested in #2, shoot me an email - bket...@gmail.com or @bketelsen on twitter.  And of course, everyone can help with #3.

Thanks for reading this far.  I love Go, and truly enjoy this community.

Brian

(apologies if this posts twice - I sent from the wrong email account earlier, and suspect it's stuck in a moderation queue)
